Into Chocolate Candy & Confections began operations in 2009 when owners Delaine and Doug Willms purchased Ruby Slippers Specialty Co., which had been operating in Fort Langley since 2005. This shop is the realization of Delaine’s dream to bring chocolate and candy from around the world for the enjoyment of all. Delaine has been making hand-crafted chocolates for over 20 years and received the designation as a professional chocolatier from Ecole Chocolat in 2008.
In 2012, the dream grew when a new location was opened in Cloverdale at Brickyard Station including a commercial kitchen for the production of chocolate and fudge. Then in 2016, Delaine and Doug moved their Fort Langley location to a new larger space in the Coulter Berry Building. The new location gave Into Chocolate much greater visibility and increased traffic. The next step was to start an e-commerce store which went live during the COVID pandemic of 2020.
